そのうち触れようと思っていて放置していたネタ「Kentuckeyを本拠地とするKen Hamが主宰する"若い地球の創造論"サイトAnswers in Genesis USAと、オーストラリアを本拠地とする"若い地球の創造論"サイト連合Creation Ministries Internationalの分裂」

昨年11月頃に現CMI=Creation Ministries International(旧 Answers in Genesis - Australia)とAnswers in Genesis USAが分裂。経緯がCMIのサイトにアップされている。

これに伴って起きたことは、雑誌の分裂と記事執筆陣の分裂である。もともと、Answers in Genesisとして発行されていた2つの雑誌が、CMI発行雑誌となり

==>The Journal of Creation (formerly known as TJ)

Ken Ham主宰のAnswers in Genesisが新たに雑誌を発行した。

これは自然の成り行き。

ここで、大きいのは、これまでAnswers in Genesisの雑誌記事およびWeb記事を提供してきたDr Carl WielandやDr Don BattenやDr Jonathan SarfatiをCMIが引き上げたこと。"若い地球の創造論"とはいえ、彼らの執筆によって、進化論サイドのwikiたるEvowikiがAnswers in Genesisを"the best of a bad bunch"と評することにつながっている。

AiG, Answers in Genesis, started as an Australia-based creationist group which was considered by scientists as 'the best of a bad bunch'; while their a priori commitment to Biblical inerrancy and authority would always prevent them from doing real science, they did make more of an effort than most other YECs to identify and eliminate scientific errors in Creationist dogma. They used to have pages Arguments we think creationists should NOT use and Maintaining Creationist Integrity.

Answers in Genesisは、科学者が"悪の束の中の最善"と考えるオーストラリアの創造論者グループが立ち上げたものである。アプリオリに聖書の無謬性と権威を認めるので、真に科学することができないが、創造論のドグマから科学的誤りを見つけて排除することをどの"若い地球の創造論"者よりも努力している。

この執筆者Dr Jonathan SarfatiがCMIサイドであり、もはやKen HamのAnswers in Genesisのために記事を書くことはなさそう。

Ken HamのAnswers in Genesisの雑誌Answers Magazineの記事は、彼らに代わってInstitute for Creation ResearchのDr.Andrew A. Snellingなどが執筆してる。ちなみ、このDr. Snellingは「ノアの洪水の間に、パンゲア大陸が分裂して今の海陸分布になった」とか
