Knapp’s been a fixture on 9th Street in Oakmont for more than a decade, and his neighbors are defending him from the ramblings of a killer.
“Rick Knapp is one of the nicest people I know,” said a neighbor who didn’t want her identity revealed.
"I have never been to one of Rick's services, but I don't believe he would tell someone it's OK to go out and murder someone. Can't believe any of that about him," said another neighbor.
The neighbors said Knapp is often seen walking his dogs and walking with his grandchildren around Oakmont.
“Very nice, neighborly. Not anything negative I can say about him,” said a neighbor.
