Kurt Zimmermann is asking the board to adopt textbooks without bias after learning of his son's biology text, Asking About Life, and the section discussing evolution.
Zimmermann said he learned of the book from students in his Bible study class.
On page 319, the book refers to Creationism as "the biblical myth that the universe was created by the Judeo-Christian God in 7 days."
In his request for reconsideration of instructional materials, Zimmermann wrote that the main idea is "A clear bias by the authors towards Christianity."
Knox郡教育委員会は、「キリスト教に対する明確なバイアスだ」という理由でとある生物教科書を禁止することを求める保護者の請願を検討することになった。

Despite concern from parents that the word "myth" shows a bias against Christianity, a review committee deemed the book appropriate for honors level biology. That decision was appealed and sent to the Board of Education for a vote.何やら困っているKnox郡教育委員会である。
