ナイジェリアの新聞Nigeria Guardianが2010年3月25日に2本の創造論な投稿を掲載した。内容そのものは特に目新しいものはｌなく、米国の福音主義キリスト教な創造論と同じ。510の地方言語があるものの、公用語が英語で、高等教育も英語で行われるナイジェリアには、米国の創造論に対する言語障壁はないようだ。
ひとつめは、"Argument from Consequence"なパターン：

The theory of evolution had left and would leave men without any moral compass for there is no justification for moral behaviour under such theory. If man evolved and has nothing to do with a Creator, who is he then responsible to? How does he come about a conscience, a feeling of guilt when he does evil? In fact, how does he know what is evil? Evolution creates far more problems that it claims to solve; more questions than it claims to answer. Early fears that evolution would brutalise humanity were not unfounded. A man named Herbert Spencer, a proponent of social Darwinism, "opposed the betterment of the unfortunate because it might hinder the selection by survival of the fittest". Marx and Hitler justified war on the same ground. These were hard-core evolutionists.
進化論は人間を倫理規範のない状態に放置する。というのうは、そのような理論のもとでは、倫理的行動は正当化されないからだ。人間が進化してきた存在であって、創造主と何の関係もないのなら、誰が人間に対して責任を持つのか。人間は、良心、悪を為した時の罪悪感をどうやって持ちうるのか。実際、何が悪なのかどうやって知りうるのだろうか。進化論は解決したと主張するよりも、はるかに多くの問題を作りだし、答えたと主張されるよりも多くの問いがある。進化論が人類に災厄をもたらすという初期の恐れは、根拠なきものではなかった。社会的ダーウィニズム支持者であるハーバート・スペンサーという名の男は「適者生存の選択を妨害するという理由で不幸な人を救援に反対した。」 マルクスとヒトラーは同じ土台の上で戦争を正当化した。これらはハードコアな進化論者だった。

続いて、Lagosで先生をしているImelda Wallaceの投稿。ネタは昨日とりあげたNewsweek 1980年の記事：
[Imelda Wallace: "Science education and belief in evolution" (2010/03/25)]現在も米国の創造論者たちが愛用するネタをそのまま使っている。これは、トルコの"古い地球の創造論者"Harun Yahyaのフランス語版Atlas of Creationがでるまで他人ごとだったフランスよりも、ナイジェリアの言語障壁が低いことを示すもの。
Evolution is a theory increasingly being questioned by a number of eminent and honest scientists in several fields. In 1980, Newsweek reported that Darwin's theory that one specie evolved into another specie over billions of years was rejected by a conference in Chicago of 160 of the world's top paleontologists, anatomists, evolutional geneticists and developmental biologists. The article stated: "Evidence from the fossil record now points overwhelmingly away from the classical Darwinism which most Americans learned in high school..."

Lack of scientific thinking has given rise to relativism, materialism and atheism. We should attempt to get rid of the evil notions generated by the belief that Darwin's Theory of Evolution is a scientific fact and make sure that we only teach the proven facts of science to our children while respecting their beliefs and their dignity as human persons.
進化論は幾つかの分野の著名で正直な科学者たちによって、ますます疑われている理論である。1980年にNewsweekは、ひとつの種が別の種へと数十億年かけて進化するというダーウィンの理論がシカゴの学会で160人の世界のトップの古生物学者・解剖学さh・進化遺伝学者・発達生物学者たちによって否定されたことを報じている。記事には「化石証拠は、大半の米国人が高校で習う古典的ダーウィニズムから大きく遠ざかったものを指し示している。」と書かれている。
科学的考え方の不足は、相対主義・唯物論・無神論を引き起こした。ダーウィンの進化論が科学的事実だと言う凶悪な概念をなんとかして、子供達には証明された科学的事実のみを教えるようにし、子供たちの信条と人間としての尊厳を尊重すべきである。
