Natureの韓国進化論削除の記事への創造論者の反応

Seoul発のNature記事「South Korea surrenders to creationist demands (韓国は創造論者の要求に屈した)(2012/06/05)」はミスリードなものであり、実態は「韓国の理科教科書そのものが改訂が進んでおらず、結果として創造論者の指摘に従う形で、古いネタが削除されることになったが、それがNatureの記事で英語圏に広まり、韓国は笑いものになったということらしい。ただ、韓国における創造論勢力はRon Numbersによれば強いようで、いずれは進化論削除へと向かう可能性もある。」というものだった。

これに関して、創造論者たちは次のように反応した。

So, all of that to say, perhaps a better title for Sal’s article isn’t “Darwinists Defeated in South Korea”, but rather, “Darwinists forced to Keep Textbooks Up to Date in South Korea Despite Vigorous Protest From The Darwin Lobby”.

おそらくscordovaのエントリタイトルは「ダーウィニストが韓国で打倒された」ではなく「ダーウィンロビーの厳格な抵抗にもかかわらず、韓国ではダーウィニストが教科書を更新を続けさせれた」とすべきだろう。

なお、いずれのエントリもコメントはほとんど付いておらず、インテリジェントデザイン支持者たちには韓国の話は関心のないネタだったようだ。
