Mali's Health Minister Ousmane Kone told state television that the patient in the western town of Kayes was a two-year-old girl who had recently arrived from neighboring Guinea, where the outbreak began.マリの首都Bamakoはギニアとの、Kayesはセネガルとの国境に近くにある。現時点では、これ以上の情報はなく、いつの時点で少女が発症したかなどは不明。
"The condition of the girl, according to our services, is improving thanks to her rapid treatment," the minister told state television.
A health ministry official, who asked not to be identified, said the girl's mother died in Guinea a few weeks ago and the baby was brought by relatives to the Malian capital Bamako, where she stayed for 10 days in the Bagadadji neighborhood before heading to Kayes.
A ministry statement said the girl, who came from the Guinean town of Kissidougou, was admitted at the Fousseyni Daou hospital in Kayes on Wednesday night, where she was promptly tested for Ebola.
People who came into contact with the patient in Kayes have been identified and placed under watch, the minister said, but he appealed to any person who believed they may have had contact with the girl to step forward.

保健省の声明によれば「ギニアの町Kissidougouから来た少女は、2014/10/22夜に、KayesのFousseyni Daou病院に収容され、エボラ検査が行われた」
Ousmane Kone保健相によれば「Kayesで感染者と接触した人々は特定され、モニタリング対象となっている。ただし、少女と接触した可能性のある人は名乗り出るように」と述べた。

マリはギニアからエボラ感染が及んでくることを当然のことながら、想定していたようで、マリ保健省のページを見ると、エボラ関連のリリースが並んでいる（ギニアやコンゴ民主共和国と同じくフランス語）。ただし、マリは社会的政治的危機があったようで、WHOによれば、資金不足など医療体制にも影響が及んでいるもよう。
なお、さきほど保健省サイトにも、エボラ感染報告のリリースが掲載された。

Dans le cadre de la prévention contre l’introduction et la propagation de la maladie à virus Ebola sur le territoire national, le Gouvernement du Mali informe l’opinion nationale et internationale qu’un cas suspect, une fillette de 2 ans venue de Kissidougou, en République de Guinée, s’est présenté à l’Hôpital Fousseyni Daou de Kayes, le mercredi 22 octobre 2014.
Dépêchés à Kayes, les services spécialisés de santé ont procédé à un prélèvement sanguin sur le sujet. Après analyse, l’examen de l’échantillon s’est avéré positif, ce jeudi 23 octobre 2014.
Par ce résultat d’analyse en laboratoire, le Mali connait à ce jour son premier cas importé de maladie à virus Ebola.
L’enfant malade et les personnes qui ont eu un contact avec elle à Kayes ont été immédiatement identifiés et pris en charge selon les normes requises en la matière.
Le ministère de la Santé et de l’Hygiène Publique a pris toutes les dispositions nécessaires pour éviter la propagation du virus. Il rassure les populations sur les mesures prises et en appelle au calme et à la sérénité.
Il convient de préciser qu’à ce jour, grâce à une diligente prise en charge, l’état de santé du sujet infecté s’améliore considérablement. ...

専門医療チームが血液検査を実施した。2014/10/23の検査の結果は陽性であった。このラボの検査結果は、マリで初めてのエボラ感染症例である。この病気の子供及び、Kayesで接触した人々はただちに特定され、所定の措置がとられている。
