コロラド大学進化生物学研究室への脅迫メールの経緯は以下のとおり

  Colorado Dailyの報道によれば、脅迫者の名前はMichael Philip Kornである。彼のブログJesusOverIsrael.blogspot.comは、特にUniversity of ColoradoのBoulderについて言及しており、彼はDenverに住んでいるとある。しかし、市外局番はノースカロライナである。

According to Mitton, Korn appears to have skipped town. Police visited Korn's apartment, but found that he and his wife were gone. The apartment had been sublet and his wife had quit her job, said Mitton, who added he has met and spoken to Korn on several occasions.

この電話のあとMichael Korn(49歳)は妻とともに夜逃げしてしまったもよう。

神の使いだと称していたわりには、情けない状態である。

Mitton said Korn has visited his building on campus in Boulder several times, and told him face to face that Korn believes he is the messenger of God, and that God is angry at Mitton for ignoring His messenger.

Mitton教授によれば、KornはBoulderキャンパスにあるMitton教授のいる建物を何度か訪れ、面と向かって、Kornは「自らを神の使いでり、神は神の使いを無視するMittonを怒っていると信じている」と言ったという。
