"若い地球の創造論"も研究しない

昨日見たように、インテリジェントデザインの研究はほとんどなされていない。「査読付論文がない」というより、そもそも「論文」がほとんど皆無に近い。

これに対して、"若い地球の創造論"はどうかというと、あまり違っていない。理科教育への侵入していた1987年までも、宗教であることが司法上確定して理科教育から排除された後も、"若い地球の創造論"は出版業である。学術誌などという儲からないものを、Institute for Creation ReserchやAnswers in Genesisなどの創造論ミニストリが出すことはない。

ただし、定期的に国際的"研究"発表の場は、Creation Science Fellowship Incという会社が設定してきた（第6回からはInstitute for Creation Reserch共催）。4〜5年おきに、これまで5回開催され、6回目は2008年に予定されている。

なんと、講演数わずかに43で、著者数は41人である。他に発表・交流の場もなく、4〜5年に1回なので、"若い地球の創造論"の"研究者"のすべてがネタを出すと思われるのだが...

すなわち、これが"若い地球の創造論"の"研究者"の全戦力ということになると思われる。出版業なAnswers in GenesisやCreation Ministries Internationalのメンバーは誰も発表していない。Institute for Creation Researchからは4名の構成員

が発表している。これが、かつての創造科学の本拠地の実態。しかも、それらしい物理方程式と数値を出しているのはVardimanくらいなもの。といっても、大気圏の1次元モデルというシンプルなものを使っただけ。また、創造論を教義とするSeventh Day Adventistの地質学研究所といっても7名しかないないGeoscience Research Instituteは誰も発表していない。

本業隠居後の暇人な創造論"研究"者とか、インテリジェントデザイン研究者がもうちょっといてもよさそうだが、こんなもの。

"若い地球の創造論"は出版業として一般向けの本やDVDで稼ぐもので、研究するものではないということだろうか。


ついでだが、"若い地球の創造論"は反進化論というより、反地質学だということが、International Conference on Creationism の発表件数に示されている。もともと、聖書創世記の記述がフィクションだという示したのは19世紀の地質学の発展によるもの。当然、戦線は対地質学になる。そもそも、地球も宇宙も6000歳だったら、生物が進化する時間などないわけで。

Answers in Genesisがpeer-reviewedなAnswers Research Magazineを発刊した。

エディタのDr. Snellingは昨年7月にAnswers in Genesisに移籍していたが、Webサイトに見当たらず、Institute for Creation Researcにも存在せず、本エントリでは所属不明とみなしていた。
