進化生物学のPZ Myers準教授とインテリジェントデザイン運動側(Discovery Instituteのフェロー)Dr.Geoff Simmonsのディベート番組紹介エントリで、番組についてのコメントがこれにつけられていた。

Panda's ThumbのPvMによれば、エントリ削除の理由は、「がっかり」なものだったから：

In a recent posting on Uncommon Descent, ID proponents showed their disappointment with Discovery Institute’s Senior Fellow Simmons performance in his much touted debate (
click to download MP3 file) with PZ Myers. Soon thereafter, the link was deleted, showing how Intelligent Design is not truly interested in teaching the controversies, when said controversies make ID look foolish.

Uncommon Descentの最新ポストで、インテリジェントデザイン支持者は、Discovery InstituteのシニアフェローSimmonsの、PZ Myersとの対決でのパフォーマンスにがっかりだった。既にポストは削除されている。このことは、インテリジェントデザインがアホにみえるような論争を教えることに、インテリジェントデザイン運動が本当に興味がないことを示している。

BTW, I’ve not listened to the debate yet…probably will. But, after reading this thread, it appears that I can look forward to becoming phyically ill afterward.

以上のコメントは確かにGoogle Cacheにも残されている。

コメント欄はその後、自発的雪辱戦な状況になっていたのだが、それでは不十分だったのか、そもそも惨敗がいやだったのか、エントリ削除となっている。

でも、削除したところで、「"Teach the controversy"（進化論についての論争も教えろ）と主張するインテリジェントデザイン運動だが、その論争にはインテリジェントデザインの惨敗は含まれない」ことを示す証拠になってしまうことになる。負けよりも問題なのだが、そんなことはインテリジェントデザイン運動は気にしないようだ。
