The Bible clearly teaches that each Creation Day was an ordinary (approximately 24-hour) day, with a night-day, evening-morning cycle. The fact that the sun was only created on Day 4 does not contradict this, as the sun is not required for such a cycle. What is needed, in addition to a rotating Earth, is directional light. Genesis tells us that light was already there from Day 1. Many other parts of the Bible strongly suggest that it would have been quite in keeping with God’s activity, recorded in many other parts of the Bible, for this light to have emanated supernaturally from God Himself.

God can, of course, create light without a secondary source. We are told that in the new heavens and Earth there will be no need for sun or moon (Rev 21:23). In Genesis, God even defines a day and a night in terms of light or its absence.

At some time during the expansion, the shrinking event horizon would approach the centre of the white hole—the Earth. Whilst this is suggested to have occurred on the morning of the 4th Day (Earth time), the time dilation effects of relativity theory permit ‘billions of years worth of physical processes [to take] place in the distant cosmos’. Stars and galaxies formed, and time elapsed so that light was able to travel to every corner of the universe. Hence, Adam and Eve, on the 6th Day (Earth time) were able to look into the expanse and see the splendour of the heavens.
膨張のある段階で、地平線が縮小する現象がホワイトホールの中心たる地球に到達した。これは地球時間の第4日の朝に起きたと考えられるが、相対論の時間の遅れの降下により、数十億年に相当する物理過程が遠く離れた宇宙の彼方では可能となった。星々と銀河が形成され、時間の経過によって、宇宙の隅々までに、その光が到達した。従って、アダムとイブは地球時間の第6日に、天空の広がりを見て、天空の驚異を目の当たりにできた。
いずれにせよ、「地球が球体であって自転している」ことを前提としている。
でも、子供心に還れば明らかで、「空に天蓋があって、太陽がなくても、青空そのものが明るい。」普通に読めば、他の解釈などあろうはずもない。しかし、創造論者たちはそうは読めないようだ。
