道路横断中の歩行者の携帯電話禁止州法案

なんかネタがないので、ネタ扱い州法案をひとつ...

NBCやUPIなどの報道によれば、イリノイ州下院に道路横断中の歩行者の携帯電話使用を禁止する州交通法規改正案が提案された。

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Illinois Vehicle Code is amended by adding Section 11-1011.5 as follows:

Sec. 11-1011.5. Pedestrian use of wireless telephone.
歩行中の携帯電話の使用

(a) A pedestrian shall not use a wireless telephone while crossing a roadway.
歩行者は道路横断中に携帯電話を使ってはならない。

(b) As used in this Section, "wireless telephone" means a device that is capable of transmitting or receiving telephonic communications without a wire connecting the device to the telephone network.
この節での携帯電話は、電話網に有線接続せずに電話通信の送信あるいは受信機能を持つ機器を指す。

(c) A violation of this Section is a petty offense for which a fine not to exceed $25 may be imposed.
この節の違反者は25ドル以下の罰金

携帯メールなども含めて禁止対象となるもようである。また、UPIの報道によれば、州務長官While Dunkinは、現在Chicagoのみで禁止されている運転中の携帯電話使用禁止を州全体に拡大することを求めている。

なお、このニュースはネタ扱いのようで、MSNBCのニュース動画は、歩行中のメール禁止がすべての人にとって問題ではないといって、おばあさんにメールができなくなりますが？とインタビューするオチをつけている。
